Marie Lakos

An architect and contracts manager by background, Marie has extensive experience in Government contracting over several decades, with specific involvement in general management within the property sector, particularly in the areas of service improvement, facilities management, project management, and corporate real estate.

Having worked in business and change management at senior levels for major international and medium-sized corporations, not-for-profit organisations and various government bodies, Marie’s rich background has placed her well among her peers in an industry that today sees women forging their way ahead.

When it comes to property affected by infrastructure works and construction, Marie and co-founder Kim Rockman work with their team at Archicomm to provide the ultimate benchmark against which to measure and gauge any changes that may occur as a result of demolition, excavation or construction works.

From dilapidation surveys and existing condition reports to forensic engineering Marie and co-founder Kim are well-placed to work on civil construction projects of any magnitude.

With a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) from Melbourne University, Marie is one of a small number of women in the Australian architectural industry who has carved an impressive career path.

With a mantra of: ‘Nothing is, at it appears’ Marie’s impressive work record demonstrates richness and success in many and varied sectors.
